SA vs IND: Watch - Jasprit Bumrah gives stern warning to Dean Elgar and Temba Bavuma during Johannesburg Test

 

The second Test between South Africa and India has came to end as the hosts beat the visitors by 7 wickets at Johannesburg. Having a look at the match, the stand-in skipper KL Rahul opted to bat first after winning the toss.

Mayank Agarwal has been dismissed by Marco Jansen when he was on 26 runs. Cheteshwar Pujara's terrible form continues in this match as well and has been dismissed for just 3 runs. Ajinkya Rahane bagged a golden duck as he was dismissed by Duanne Olivier.

The right-handed all-rounder played some good shots by coming down the order and scoring 46 runs which consisted of 6 fours under his belt. Jasprit Bumrah also played some good strokes and remained unbeaten on 14 runs with the help of 2 fours and a six. In the end, India posted 202 runs on the board.

Following the total, the opposition skipper Dean Elgar and Aiden Markram opened the innings for their side. Despite bowling out the opposition for a decent score, the openers failed to provide the expected start as Aiden Markram has to walk back after Mohammed Shami made him LBW for 7 runs.

Summary of the second Test between South Africa vs India:

Keegan Petersen scored 62 runs for his team before being dismissed by Shardul Thakur. Following him, Temba Bavuma also played a crucial knock of 51 runs and Dean Elgar added 28 runs before they have been dismissed by Shardul Thakur.

In the end, South Africa have been bowled out by India for 229 runs as they have 27 runs lead in hand. KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal once again walked out for India and returned to the dressing room after scoring 8 and 23 runs respectively.

Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane stitched a crucial partnership of 111 runs, as both, the batsman walked back to the dressing room after scoring 53 and 58 runs respectively. Hanuma Vihari remained not out on 40 runs as Team India have been bowled out for 266 runs.

South Africa need 240 runs to win this match. They got a decent start from the openers Dean Elgar and Aiden Markram who have added 47 runs for the opening wicket partnership. However, with the help of Dean Elgar's unbeaten 96, South Africa defeated India by 7 wickets.

During the second innings of South Africa, Hanuma Vihari got injured in the over of Jasprit Bumrah as Temba Bavuma played a crash shot when he was standing at the short leg region.

While Vihari getting treatment from the physio, Jasprit Bumrah said, "Abhi toh bohot uchhal rahe hain, uchhalne do - ek test match baaki hai abhi - batata hun cape town mein inko. (Let them enjoy their moment for now. Another match is left at Cape Town. I will show them what we are built off.)”
