PSL 2023: Watch - Hasan Ali pulls off a breathtaking relay catch near boundary rope against Islamabad United, video goes viral
Islamabad United and Karachi Kings clashed at the Pindi Club Ground in Rawalpindi in the ongoing Pakistan Super League 2023. Winning the toss, Imad Wasim, the skipper of Karachi Kings decided to bat.
Despite losing four of their batters before reaching a total of 100, the skipper took the responsibilities on his shoulders and smashed an unbeaten 92 runs from 54 balls.
His great inning included 11 fours and 2 sixes and with the help of other batters, Karachi Kings managed to post 201 runs on the board. Having a massive target on the board, Alex Hales gave a flying start to the innings, smashing 34 off just 16 balls followed by Faheem Ashraf's 41-run knock as well.
However, it was Azam Khan who took the opposition bowlers all around the park and finished the game for his side. He remained unbeaten on 72 runs which consist of 8 fours and 4 sixes under his belt.
I will rate the Quetta innings higher: Azam Khan
After losing the match against Islamabad United, Imad Wasim shared a few words in the post-match presentation and praised Azam Khan as well. "I think 200 was a very score. Azam played really well and took the game away from us. Our bowling in the last 5-6 games hasn't been great.
Azam played really well and played all around the ground. You have to give credit to others sometimes. We just got to sit and talk. It has been 8 games and we haven't executed our plans. I am upset but it is cricket and life moves on," Imad Wasim was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz.

Azam Khan was named Player of the Match for his acrobatic stints with the bat and said, "I think it is all about practice. I try to keep calm in the practice games back in Karachi. I will rate the Quetta innings higher. Basically, I was trying to ask Faheem to take singles. I wanted to take on Tabraiz. I was confident about Asif. He took out some pressure from me."
Besides, during the game, Hasan Ali has shown his skills on the field by taking a stunning diving catch of Irfan Khan near the boundary line. The fielding must be happy after witnessing this effort by the right-arm pacer.
