Ashes 2021-22: Watch - Jos Buttler takes an acrobatic catch to get rid-off Marcus Harris
The second Test of the Ashes 2021-22 is started between the arch-rivals Australia vs England at the Adelaide Oval on 16th December, Thursday. Australia won the first Test against the visitors, England by 9 wickets and took the lead 1-0.
Now England will be looking to beat Australia to level the series which will help them to concentrate on the remaining matches in this series. It was a good battle between these two teams in the first Test as Australia completely dominated the opposition with their both batting and bowling alley.
Talking about the second Test, the hosts, Australia have won the toss and elected to bat first. Pat Cummins has been ruled out of this match as Steve Smith has taken the charge in his absence. The stand-in skipper will be looking to get some runs with his bat as he didn't create much impact in the first Test.
Summary of the ongoing 2nd Test:
David Warner and Marcus Harris opened the innings for Australia after their skipper won the toss and opted to bat first. The England bowlers, Stuart Broad and James Anderson who have been added to the line-up have straightaway done their job.
Both the bowlers' including Chris Woakes and Ollie Robinson didn't let the openers play their strokes freely. They continuously troubled the batters by hitting the perfect line and length and made it more difficult to aggregate runs on this wicket.
However, Stuart Broad finally provided the breakthrough for England, by sending Marcus Harris back to the pavilion with the number of just 3. It was a fabulous catch taken by Jos Buttler to dismiss the Australian opener. Then Marcus Labuschagne joined with the left-hander and started to stitch another crucial partnership likewise they did in the first Test against the visitors.
