"Kyun ho rahi hai, yaar. Matlab mujhe samajh mein nahin aata, bhai" - Rohit Sharma irked by reporters' question on Virat Kohli's form

After winning the first ODI against England, Rohit Sharma and his men went on to compete with the hosts in the second game at the Lord's in London. Having a look at the game, Rohit Sharma won the toss and opted to bowl first.

Despite getting a decent start from the openers, England managed to score only 246 runs on the board. Moeen Ali and David Willey have done well with the bat by coming down the order and scoring crucial 47 and 41 runs for their side.

Chasing the target, India has been bowled out by the opposition for 146 runs, as England won the match by a margin of 100 runs. Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja top scored for the side, scoring 29 runs each to their name.

However, with this win, England levelled the series by 1-1 and both sides will look to seal the series in the upcoming game at the Emirates Old Trafford in Manchester.

I had mentioned this previously: Rohit Sharma

After losing the match against England, Rohit Sharma backed Virat Kohli during the post-match conference. During the post-match conference, a reporter asked the Indian skipper, "Virat Kohli ke baare me sabse zyada charcha ho rahi hai…. (Virat Kohli is the most talked about person right now)," Rohit Sharma was quoted as the same as in CricTracker.

Rohit Sharma made a quick response and said, "Kyun ho rahi hai, yaar. Matlab mujhe samajh mein nahin aata, bhai." (Why is this discussion happening. I can’t understand this)."

Following that, the Indian skipper replied, "He has played so many matches and has been playing the game since so many years. He's such a good batsman that he does not need reassurance.

I had mentioned this previously too that form keeps flickering. It is a part and parcel of the game for every cricketer. Everyone faces a similar time during their careers."

"So for players who have played so many years, played so many matches, and scored numerous runs, they just need one or two innings to get back to form, that's what I think.

We know that this topic (Kohli's form) is being discussed outside, but we need to understand that every player's performance witnesses ups and downs, but the quality of the player remains the same. There's no player who has been consistent in every match that he's played. Everyone faces a slump," Rohit Sharma elaborated.
