IND vs WI: Watch - Rohit Sharma stares at Ishan Kishan after getting bowled off Roston Chase

India and West Indies have clashed with each other in the third and final match of the T20 series at the Eden Gardens on Sunday. Having a look at the match, India was forced to bat first by the opposition skipper, as Kieron Pollard won the toss and decided to take the field.

Batting first, India posted 184 runs with the help of Suryakumar Yadav's fabulous knock of 65 off just 31 deliveries which included four and seven sixes to his name. On the other side, Venkatesh Iyer has also done some serious damage to the opposition as he scored 35 runs for his side.

Chasing the target of 185 runs, the West Indies openers Kyle Mayers and Shai Hope had to give a flying start to the innings but failed to do so. However, Nicholas Pooran who was criticised for his poor form in the Indian Premier League has backed himself in this series.

He smashed 61 runs in his last outing against India but the fabulous knock went on a losing cause, as Rohit Sharma and his men defeated the visitors by 17 runs. With that win, India whitewashed West Indies and become the No.1 team in the shortest format of the game.

Pretty much got everything that we wanted: Rohit Sharma

After the end of the match, Rohit Sharma shared a few words about the game and said, "The team that used to chase, there are not many people here from that squad. We wanted to bat first and chase as well.

Because our middle order is fairly new. Happy with the series. Pretty much got everything that we wanted. We do understand we are very young as a team," quoted as same as in Cricbuzz.

"We are still a good chasing side, but a lot of the players are missing. So we wanted the guys to understand how to bat in pressure situations. It was pleasing to see guys bailing the team out from situations. Good sign moving forward as a group and something to be proud of," he added.

Talking about the upcoming series against Sri Lanka, the Indian skipper said, "Sri Lanka will be a different challenge. But I am not someone who looks at the opposition, I would like to see what we can do as a team. Ground fielding, catching is something we can correct. Hopefully, we can tick that box as well."
