At the end of the first innings, India posted a huge 416 runs with Jasprit Bumrah's quick-fire 31 off 16 balls. Zak Crawley and Alex Lees opened the innings, but both the batters had to walk back for cheap scores after being dismissed by Jasprit Bumrah.

Moreover, the right-arm pacer also got the wicket of Ollie Pope for 10 runs. Then Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow added some runs but Mohammed Siraj sends back Joe Root for 31 runs. After that, Mohammed Shami got the night watchman Jack Leach for a duck.

Ben Stokes joined with the right-handed batter and added 66 runs for the sixth wicket before Ben Stokes was removed by Shardul Thakur for 25 runs.

Following that, Sam Billings and Jonny Bairstow put up a 92-run stand for the seventh wicket, before Sam Billings has been cleaned by Mohammed Siraj. However, Jonny Bairstow completed his hundred and got dismissed by Mohammed Shami on 106 runs.

In the end, England posted 284 runs on the board. India opened the innings with the same combo, but once again James Anderson removed Shubman Gill in the very first over of this inning. As of now, Cheteshwar Pujara and Rishabh Pant were on the crease for India, scoring 62 and 38 runs respectively.

However, Virat Kohli and Jonny Bairstow had heated banter during the 3rd Day of the game and the former skipper takes his revenge by grabbing a spectacular catch off Mohammed Shami.
