The former South African pacer and one of the most dangerous bowlers of his era, Dale Steyn has reckoned that Shivam Mavi will play for India in the upcoming days.

Dale Steyn has represented South Africa across 93 matches in the longest format of the game where he scalped 439 wickets to his name. Coming to the limited-overs format, the right-arm pacer has featured in 125 ODIs and 47 T20Is and got 196 and 64 wickets under his belt.

He is the current bowling head coach of the Indian Premier League franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad. The 39-year-old has also heaped praise on the Jammu & Kashmir pacer, Umran Malik for his raw pace with the ball.

Moreover, he has also stated that the right-arm pacer will soon feature for Team India in the limited-overs game. Likewise, Umran Malik has been one of the regular names in the Indian squad, especially in T20 cricket.

In a recent interaction with Sportskeeda, Shivam Mavi shared a few words about his conversation with the former South African pacer. "It was my dream to meet Dale Steyn because I've been following him since I was a kid. It felt really, really good to meet him.
