T20 World Cup 2021: "Australia are a very strong side" - Eoin Morgan ahead of the upcoming clash against Australia

 

According to Sky Sports, Eoin Morgan had a few words about the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2021. The left-handed batsman feels that Australia and England are second joint-favourites after Team India to clinch the title.

England will be facing Australia on 30th October at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Saturday. Both England and Australia kicked their campaign on a higher note in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2021.

Australia defeated South Africa in their first match whereas England went on to beat West Indies and took the avenge with them. England continued the flow by beating Bangladesh in the second match likewise, Australia did against Sri Lanka in their second outing.

Eoin Morgan has a big clash against Australia which is waiting to commence on Saturday. Besides, the English batsman had a few words in Sky Sports and said "It's probably going to be one of our most difficult games. Australia are a very strong side - they've won two out of two, much like us - and have started well.

Coming into the tournament, they'll probably be considered joint second-favourites, along with us. They're a side that we know pretty well - we've played against them a lot over a number of years."

England's bowling department had been questioned whether they can win the games in the absence of Jofra Archer. However, the Morgan-led side proved the critics wrong and went on win back-to-back matches in the ongoing T20 World Cup.

Moreover, Eoin Morgan gives a few updates about Mark Wood and Tom Curran ahead of the upcoming clash against Australia on Saturday.

"They're progressing really well. Where we were before the first game, they've come on a long way. We're going to make a call on that tomorrow to see how training is and then tomorrow we'll make a call on them," Morgan added when he's asked about Mark Wood and Tom Curran.
