Shahid Afridi maybe says goodbye to PSL after the 7th edition
KARACHI: Shahid Afridi will represent Quetta Gladiators in his farewell division Pakistan Super League 7, having played for the Multan Sultans in the previous edition.
The trading announcement came on the Thursday before Player Draft 2022, which is scheduled to take place on Sunday.
Quetta Gladiators will be Afridi's fourth team in the PSL after the former Pakistani captain played for Peshawar Zalmi (2016 and 2017), Karachi Kings (2018) and Multan Sultan (2019-21). The flamboyant batter injured himself and therefore had to finish last season without finishing it.
Shahid Afridi announced his entry: “I look forward to joining Quetta Gladiators, a team that has had a roller coaster ride in recent events despite winning the 2019 title. At my last PSL event it will be my dream and after the successful tasting with Peshawar Zalmi in 2017 I would like to withdraw with another PSL trophy. "
He said the PSL is an event that encourages and inspires a player to do their best. "I will use the same motivation to help my team and deliver services that can help us achieve our event goals," he added.
