Ravi Shastri gets an offer from the Ahmedabad-based franchise ahead of IPL 2022

 

The outgoing head coach of Team India, Ravi Shastri has got a new role ahead of the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League. The newly joined Ahmedabad based franchise asked Ravi Shastri to be the head coach for the team in the upcoming cash-rich contest.

The 59-year-old is currently serving with the Indian cricket team in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 that is going on in UAE. Considering the reports from Cricbuzz, the owner of that newly added franchise CVC Capitals has approached Ravi Shastri and his supports staff to get involved with his franchise for IPL 2022.

Moreover, the owners who bought the franchise have approached the Indian coaches along with Ravi Shastri. However, Shastri is clear and focuses on the T20 World Cup 2021.

Moreover, there are a lot of other sources that directly claim that the 59-year-old is ready to serve for the IPL franchise in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League.

Can Ravi Shastri earn a commentary contract from BCCI?

If Ravi Shastri joins with any of the franchises in the Indian Premier League, the BCCI would not offer any of the commentary contracts for him. If he wants the job, he can be like VVS Laxman who is with the Sunrisers Hyderabad and does commentary outside of the Indian Premier League.
