Jofra Archer hits back at Taslima Nasreen after controversial tweet on Moeen Ali
Jofra Archer is currently in India for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League. Rajasthan Royals will miss his services for the first couple of games due to injury.
He was the backbone of the franchise for the last few years. The right-arm pacer grabbed 20 wickets in just 14 games at an economy of 6.55. Apart from bowling, he has performed well as a hitter with the bat.
Meanwhile, he has launched an attack on Bangladesh author Taslima Nasreen's controversial post on England all-rounder, Moeen Ali. Archer was not happy with the way the author wrote about his teammate.
Taslima Nasreen is known for her writings on religion and women's injustice. She posted a shocking comment on Moeen saying that he would have become a terrorist had he not become a cricketer.
Jofra Archer hits back at Bangladesh author:
Taslima Nasreen wrote, “If Moeen Ali were not stuck with cricket, he would have gone to Syria to join ISIS."
The post has gone viral on the platform and the netizens slammed her from each and every side. Meanwhile, the England pacer, Jofra Archer thought her a lesson by an epic tweet.
As soon as she deletes the tweet, Nasreen clarified that her comment on all-rounder was just 'sarcasm'.
“Haters know very well that my Moeen Ali tweet was sarcastic. But they made that an issue to humiliate me because I try to secularize Muslim society & I oppose Islamic fanaticism. One of the greatest tragedies of humankind is pro-women leftists support anti-women Islamists,” she wrote.
But, Archer gave her an epic reply. Archer's tweet reads, “Sarcastic? No one is laughing, not even yourself, the least you can do is delete the tweet.”
The England all-rounder, Moeen Ali is currently preparing for the IPL 2021 with his teammates at CSK camp. He will be looking to give his best for his new franchise in the upcoming season.
