Babar Azam is the most successful test captain in 2021

Babar Azam is a top right-hand batsman known for his discipline and level-headed demeanor in the United Arab Emirates and 90 in his third Test in Hamilton. He was 22 years old then. Born in Lahore and first cousin of the Akmal brothers, Azam made his way through age-group cricket. His journey began with a U-15 World Cup in 2008 and he played two U-19 World Cups in 2010 and 2012, where he was Pakistan's top runner.

Pakistan's star batter Babar Azam had an excellent start to his captaincy career in all game formats. While there were doubts about his leadership qualities upon his appointment as captain, those doubts were quickly dispelled by Pakistan's performance under his captaincy.

Babar has grown into the leadership role and has led the team that led her to her first T20 World Cup semi-final since 2012 and also to three test series wins in the calendar year.

As the captain in the longest format, the 27-year-old was particularly impressive. Pakistan won 7 out of 8 tests led by Babar Azam in the calendar year, making him the most successful test captain in the world. No other captain has won more friendly matches this year than Babar Azam. The Indian test captain Virat Kohli is second on the list with 6 wins, and the English captain Joe Root has the third most wins as a captain with 4 wins.
