KL Rahul undergoes successful surgery in Germany, could be not available for next two months
The Karnataka batsman KL Rahul has undergone surgery in Germany after getting injured during the home series against South Africa. As of now, the senior Indian batsman will be out of action for a few months and India would miss his services with the bat.
KL Rahul took his official Twitter handle and tweeted, "Hello everyone. It's been a tough couple of weeks but the surgery was successful. I'm healing and recovering well. My road to recovery has begun. Thank you for your messages and prayers. See you soon."
Hence, it is clear that KL Rahul might take a few months to make his comeback and would be available for the mega event in Australia. "He will be resting for a few days and then his physical rehabilitation will start at the NCA.
That will take a few weeks before he starts with his regular net session and let's see if he can make a comeback in the Asia Cup. But that could be a touch and go," a BCCI source privy to developments told PTI on conditions of anonymity (quoted as same as in Times of India).
He is being monitored by our medical team: Rahul Dravid
On the other hand, the Indian skipper Rohit Sharma has been isolated after being contracted with Covid-19 after the warm-up game against Leicestershire.
A lot of sources have stated that the right-handed batter will be ruled out of the upcoming match against England. But the head coach of Team India, Rahul Dravid has shut all the mouths by giving an update about Rohit Sharma.
"Rohit Sharma is not yet ruled out. Still, 36 hours to go, he (Rohit) will undergo a Covid Test today and one tomorrow. He is being monitored by our medical team.

Obviously, he needs to come up with a negative report. But we still have a couple of days," Rahul Dravid was quoted as saying in the press conference by CricTracker.
"It's not fair for me to say it (on Jasprit Bumrah becoming the captain). You'll have to wait for official communication (through the selectors and the BCCI)," said Rahul Dravid.
