IND vs SA: KL Rahul and Kuldeep Yadav are ruled out of the five-match T20I series
Team India has been scheduled to play a five-match T20I series against South Africa which is going to kick off on 9th June, Wednesday. The 1st T20I match is going to be held at Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium.
KL Rahul who has been named as the skipper for this series has been ruled out due to a groin injury. Hence, Rishabh Pant who has been named as KL Rahul's deputy in this series will lead the side along with Hardik Pandya who has done well in the recently concluded Indian Premier League.
Moreover, the news has been officially confirmed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) via their official Twitter handle.
"Team India Captain KL Rahul has been ruled out of the T20I series against South Africa owing to a right groin injury while Kuldeep Yadav will miss out in the T20I series after getting hit on his right hand while batting in the nets last evening," BCCI tweeted on their official Twitter handle.
Another huge blow for India:
After KL Rahul has been ruled out of the series, the left-arm chinaman Kuldeep Yadav has also been ruled out as well. He made his comeback after quite a long time on the international side but has to warm the bench for the entire series. BCCI has officially confirmed the news by tweeting on their official Twitter handle.
"NEWS 🚨- KL Rahul and Kuldeep Yadav ruled out of #INDvSA series owing to injury. The All-India Senior Selection Committee has named wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant as Captain and Hardik Pandya as vice-captain for the home series against South Africa @Paytm #INDvSA," BCCI tweeted on their official Twitter handle.

Hence, Rishabh Pant will lead the second-string Indian side against the Proteas. However, everyone will be happy with the comeback of Hardik Pandya into the team as he has done well for Gujarat Titans and the fans will be eagerly waiting to watch him in the national colours.
