Watch: MS Dhoni refuses Deepak Chahar suggestion to take a review

Last night, the three-time champions Chennai Super Kings have registered their first win against Punjab Kings in IPL 2021. During the game, Punjab Kings were asked to bat first by MS Dhoni.

His decision of bowling first paid off as Deepak Chahar delivered it for his side by picking up 4 wickets within 7 overs of the game. Mayank Agarwal, Chris Gayle, Nicholas Poorana and Deepak Hooda have become the prey for the hunger pacer.

Coming to the point, after removing the West Indies power hitter Nicholas Pooran, Deepak Chahar once again delivered an outstanding ball to Shahrukh Khan who came out to bat.

He appealed it as the ball went straight to hit the pads of the batsman which was given not out by the on-field umpire. He straightaway went to his skipper and suggested taking the review but Dhoni refused.

Coming back to the game, the Tamil Nadu based cricketer has kept the hopes alive for the Punjab fans as he scored some valuable runs by coming down the order for his team.

He missed his maiden fifty by just 3 runs as he was dismissed by Sam Curran in the last over of the game. Punjab Kings set a target of 107 for Chennai Super Kings.

Deepak Chahar has been exceptional with the ball and ended up his spell with the numbers of 4 for 15. Chasing the total, Ruturaj Gaikwad who opened the innings along with Faf du Plessis has departed with a single-digit score.

Then Moeen Ali joined the party and went through the likes of the opposition bowlers all around the park. He scored 46 runs before being dismissed by Murugan Ashwin.

Suresh Raina and Ambati Rayudu followed him as they wanted to finish the game as quick as possible. However, Dhoni's army won the game with more than 20 balls and 6 wickets in hand.
