IPL 2022: Dale Steyn is likely to join this franchise as bowling coach

The former South African and one of the most feared bowlers Dale Steyn is expected to be part of the backroom staff for Sunrisers Hyderabad ahead of the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League.

The head of the coach of Sunrisers Hyderabad Trevor Bayliss and the batting coach Brad Haddin have stepped down from their responsibilities after their poor performance in the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League.

Sunrisers Hyderabad has been one of the consistent sides in the cash-rich contest but they rocked the bottom of the table in the previous edition. In addition to that, the mentor of the Hyderabad based franchise VVS Laxman is also not available for the next season, as he has been given the role of heading the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in India.

Dale Steyn might join Sunrisers Hyderabad:

Dale Steyn is one of the most-loved cricketers like Chris Gayle and AB de Villiers all around the globe. The right-arm pacer has featured in 95 matches in the Indian Premier League where he plucked 97 wickets under his belt.

Since its inaugural edition, Dale Steyn is part of the cash-rich contest and has featured in Deccan Chargers, Gujarat Lions and Royal Challengers Bangalore. Moreover, Dale Steyn has represented South Africa in 292 matches where he scalped 439 wickets for his team.

He has also had 64 and 196 wickets in the T20Is and ODIs as well. Considering the recent reports from other sources, the South African pacer is expected to join Sunrisers Hyderabad as the backroom staff but there are no official reports from both the franchise and Steyn.

Moreover, the former head coach of Sunrisers Hyderabad Trevor Bayliss is likely to join the newly added franchise Lucknow as the official confirmation is yet to be announced by the management. As we all know, the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League will have ten teams this time and we are going to witness a lot of nail-biting contests in the upcoming year.
