IPL 2021: Ravichandran Ashwin to join Delhi Capitals for the final leg of the league
Considering the recent reports, the legendary spinner Ravichandran Ashwin is expected to join Delhi Capitals ahead of the final leg of the competition. He left his side in the mid of the season as his family was fighting against the deadly virus.
He confirmed it officially on his Twitter handle and wrote "I would be taking a break from this years IPL from tomorrow. My family and extended family are putting up a fight against #COVID19 and I want to support them during these tough times. I expect to return to play if things go in the right direction. Thank you @DelhiCapitals."
Moreover, RCbB's Kane Richardson and Adam Zampa have pulled out their name from IPL including Rajasthan Royals' Liam Livingstone and a few more.
Delhi Capitals are scheduled to play at Kolkata:
The Pant-led Delhi Capitals are scheduled to play their last five games at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. They will face Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians.
Meanwhile, if the right-arm spinner wants to join the Delhi squad, he has to undergo the seven-day mandatory quarantine and have to get a negative report for the deadly virus.
If he is successful in doing that, the BCCI and Delhi management will include him in the squad, On the other hand, BCCI is rescheduling the games as Kolkata Knight Riders' Varun Chakravarthy and Sandeep Warrier got positive reports ahead of the COVID-19.

They already postponed a match on Monday which should have been played between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Considering the recent reports from other sources, it is expected that BCCI might postpone the IPL if the situation goes out of hands. In addition to that, they are now thinking about rescheduling tomorrow's game between Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals.
