IPL 2021: Blue layer on the ball during RR vs PKBS game confuses fans and commentators

 

There was something mysterious moment happened during the 4th match of the IPL between Rajasthan Royals and Punjab Kings. The ball was spotted with a blue layer which raised questions among the fans, commentators and the on-field umpires.

It was caught during a review by Anil Chaudhary when he made a wrong decision of Sanju Samson's LBW call by the PKBS bowlers. Everyone on the field was confused with the blue layer and started to talk about it.

The commentators thought that it could be the paint from the advertisement board and still has a question in their mind.

Besides, talking about the game, Rajasthan Royals won the toss and elected to field first. KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal opened the innings for Punjab Kings and the debutant Chetan Sakariya removed Rahul's partner for cheap.

Then Chris Gayle made a strong partnership with KL Rahul that was followed by Mayank Agarwal till the end of the 18th over of the game.

Rajasthan Royals was once to chase a mammoth total against Punjab Kings

The stage was well set for middle-order but Deepak Hooda came out of the syllabus as he went to smash 64 off just 28 deliveries. He destroyed the RR bowling attack and smacked the bowlers all around the park.

With the help of skipper KL Rahul's destructive knock of 91 off just 50 deliveries, Punjab posted a huge total of 221 on their board. While chasing a massive target, Rajasthan lost their top order cheaply.

However, Samson is still giving hopes to his team. Ben Stokes had been dismissed for a duck as the English cricketer miss-timed the ball and was grabbed by the bowler Mohammed Shami. Sanju Samson took charge from there and started to respect the bowlers all around the park.

He didn't get good support from the other end as Jos Buttler, Shivam Dube, Riyan Parag have been sent back to the dressing room by Punjab bowlers with the numbers 25, 23 and 25 respectively.

In the end, Rajasthan Royals needed 5 from the last ball and was hit straight to the fielder by Sanju Samson. His terrific innings of 119 had been ended on a losing cause.
